James Blunt ha pubblicato un nuovo video del brano The Greatest che rende omaggio a chi lotta ogni giorno contro il Coronavirus
Il cantautore inglese James Blunt ha pubblicato un nuovo video di The Greatest, canzone tratta dall’album Once Upon A Mind, uscito nel 2019. James Blunt (46 anni) unendo la sua ballata con le immagini di quanto sta accadendo nel mondo, ha reso omaggio a chi lotta ogni giorno in prima linea contro il Coronavirus. Non solo: i profitti della vendita del singolo nel Regno Unito saranno devoluti all’NHS, il servizio sanitario nazionale britannico.
Nel nuovo video di The Greatest, diretto da Jacob Wise, scorrono le scene toccanti che ci hanno accompagnato negli ultimi due mesi: gli ospedali, i medici e gli infermieri al lavoro, le città deserte, le persone per strada con la mascherina. Le immagini sottolineano, in particolare, un verso della canzone: “be the young, the brave, the powerful”, un’esortazione a essere un “giovane coraggioso e forte”. Inizialmente, infatti, James aveva scritto questo brano per i suoi due bambini, inserendolo poi nell’album Once Upon A Mind uscito lo scorso ottobre.
James Blunt, con la nuova versione di The Greatest, vuole esortare tutti i giovani che con coraggio dovranno ricostruire il futuro, cambiare e salvare il mondo. Alla fine del video ci sono i loro volti, con gli sguardi intensi e talvolta con il sorriso sorrisi celato dalla mascherina. Un messaggio di speranza per tutti che commuove e dà forza nel momento in cui ne abbiamo più bisogno.
